Georges Auric (February 15, 1899 – July 23, 1983) was a French composer, innate inside Lodève, Hérault, Languedoc-Roussillon, France. He was the wonder child & at age Xv he experienced his number 1 compositions published. Prior to he turned Twenty he got orchestrated & written incident music for many ballets and stage productions.
As a immature student of at a Paris Conservatory around 1920, and, considered avant-garde, Auric became part of Satie and Cocteau’s famous group, Les Six. His participation led to writing settings of poetry & more texts when songs & musical comedy.
After Jean Cocteau began making motion pictures, at a beginning of the 1930s Auric began writing film scores. He wrote soundtracks for a total of French & British films, & his profits led to writing the music for Hollywood movies too. Many days, Auric’s act manufactured it onto a hit parade, notably "The Theme from Moulin Rouge".
Films he scored involved Jean Cocteau's Beauty and the Beast (1946), The Lavender Hill Mob (1951), Moulin Rouge (1952), Roman Holiday (1953), Le Salaire de la Peur (1955), Rififi (1956), Bonjour Tristesse (1958), and Therese and Isabelle (1968).
Inside 1962 he gave up writing for motion pictures whilst he accepted to turn into director of the Paris Opera and then chairman of SACEM, a French Music Copyright Society.
Aurous was buried in the Cimetière du Montparnasse, Paris.
